SBI to change debit cards; The account holders are required to replace magnetic debit cards with chip cards; SBI Notices that Chip Cards have more security measures and can not use Magnetic Satisfaction Cards by the end of this year

SBI cuts debit cards State Bank of India has advised account holders to replace the existing transaction cards with the use of existing Chain Cards. Magnetic cards can be used by the end of 2018. SBI’s decision was taken at the direction of Reserve Bank of India. SBI said in a statement, SBI also claims that chip cards are for international standards and are subject to more security measures.
No special charge is charged for replacing older cards. The cardholder’s information is safely included in the chips so it is difficult to cut them off. Users with online banking can go to the e-Services category and go to the ATM Card Service to apply for a new card or otherwise apply directly to the branch.
