The Central Government has decided to call the State Health Secretary’s meeting soon to seek state assistance for the implementation of the National Healthcare Plan or the AYUSHMAN Bharat Project.
An extended note is already prepared on the issues discussing the meeting. A senior government official said that a comprehensive national plan would be undertaken under one roof and incorporated into more than one insurance plan and discussed with state secretaries to formulate a comprehensive insurance plan with the actual premium.
In Chhattisgarh everyone has a free health service. However, small sums have been devoted to the project. Officials said that the possibility of integrating existing health services in various states, including health plans implemented in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, has been found. AYUSHMAN Bharat Scheme is implemented annually by Rs 12,000 crore. The policy commission estimates that it will cost.
