Indian stock market record; The Sensex, which had gained 36,000 points in the last two sessions, rose by over 11,000 points

The BSE benchmark Sensex on Thursday closed 36,000 points at 5,000 points, down by over 11,000 points.

The Sensex, which had gained over 238.53 points to close at 36,036.15 points on Tuesday morning, was also trading at 11,40.25 points, up 72.50 points, The Sensex, which had gained 0.68 per cent in the morning trade, also gained 0.68 per cent to Rs.

Shares of Reliance Industries, Infosys and HDFC Bank were the major gainers, with Axis Bank’s shares down 2.68 per cent and Infosys Technologies by 1.76 per cent. Other gainers were ONGC, Coal India and Tata Steel.
