Elections are compulsory in the Gujarat voting machine and voting system

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission on Monday voted for 100 percent of the votes cast in the Gujarat assembly polls as well as the voting machine for the electoral booth. A senior official in the Election Commission said, “We have 100 per cent accuracy in 182 constituencies in Gujarat. Gujarat Chief Electoral Officer BB Sainwan also confirmed this.

In the EVM and the voting list counted the votes of the candidates or their agents. The inspection was conducted at each booth in all the constituencies. Saywan said there was little difference in votes in a single booth.

The Supreme Court had earlier rejected the demand of the Congress to examine 20 per cent of the proposals for each constituency.

The Gujarat Assembly elections were held on December 9 and 14. After voting in Mokpal in 10 booths in seven constituencies, the voting was abolished.
